Our first Christmas at Design Edit was a special one. Between the bustle of building up the brand at the height of 2021 and getting used to celebrating and immersing in our first concept store, it was already time to celebrate the season. And let me tell you, we went all out! From buying our first ever Christmas tree to spray painting it black (Black will always be the new Black at Design Edit), we were geared for an amazing Christmas!
Decorating for the holidays is a fun activity that could get your creative juices flowing and the entire family on toes. We curated pieces that could be used all year round, but also adding a bit of festive flare that could elevate your space for Christmas.
01 – The Color Palette
Christmas doesn’t always have to scream Red & Green. But when you do, we love pairing neutral tones with classic festive colors. And what better way to do so than with our very own cushion collection by Design Edit.
Your color palette could be easily derived from the Christmas décor you already have in hand. This will set the base for your theme. While cushion covers add depth to your living space, your Christmas tree will always be the focal point in your house during the festive season.
02 – Festive Fillers and Table Toppers
The fast-track method to making your everyday décor feel more festive is to add bits and bobs of color which complements your Christmas theme. Decorative ribbons and candles are great ways to add depth to your décor.
03 – Layer your Existing Floral Arrangements
Use your greenery to your advantage!! Add hints of festive nods to your arrangements with the addition of faux Cedar and Eucalyptus sprigs. Christmas berry sprigs are great to add pops of red to elevate your space. Deep reds are the perfect festive accompaniment for your greens.
04 – Set the Table
Christmas Dinner parties are a must have during the season. A curated tablescape will always create awe and intrigue and make your parties feel more festive. Add layers to your table décor with matching placemats and napkins. This could work well with your chosen theme. Incorporate pops of color and texture with your napkin rings and cutlery.
